Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag had the perfect response when some kids asked him if the Red Devils were signing Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham.
The Red Devils have been linked with a move for Bellingham – alongside other European giants. However, a move for Mbappe looks a lot less likely than a deal with Bellingham.
But it didn’t stop one cheeky kid from asking as Ten Hag stopped to sign autographs and smile for snaps on his way into Carrington. One child asked the Dutchman: “Do you think you’re going to sign Jude Bellingham?”
Ten Hag started to respond: “I want to but,” and before the Dutchman could finish his sentence, the fan interrupted him: “Or Mbappe?”
And Ten Hag didn’t even have time to answer the second part of the question before another fan added their opinion: “can you get both?” The Dutchman was finally able to respond, and he had a cheeky answer: “Ah, do you have some pennies for me?”
The gathered crowd laughed, before one said: “We will find the pennies for you. You just keep doing what you are doing, we will find the pennies.”
United are currently in the market for a striker, having lost Cristiano Ronaldo following his bombshell interview with Piers Morgan in November.
The Red Devils have been linked with Wout Weghorst – who looks set to move to Old Trafford on loan from Burnley.
