Chelsea are the latest club to take an interest in signing Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier.
The 22-year-old has already been linked with Bayern Munich and Newcastle, but according to Foot Mercato in France, Chelsea are now a contender to sign the French stopper.
German giants Bayern Munich see Meslier as a replacement for Manuel Neuer, who is out for the rest of the season after breaking his leg during a skiing break following the World Cup.
Leeds have no intention of selling the Frenchman, who is under contract at Elland Road until 2026, however, they may find it difficult to keep one of their prized assets if a bid was made for the keeper.
Chelsea already have both Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga competing for the number one spot at Stamford Bridge, but neither has been able to establish themselves as outright first choice.
Arrizabalaga, who arrived in west London in 2018 in a £71million deal, has forced his way back into contention since Graham Potter arrived at the club.
The 28-year-old has been picked ahead of Mendy ever since returning to the starting line-up for the win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park at the start of October.
Mendy meanwhile, has been on World Cup duty with Senegal, where he played in every game for the African side and is yet to feature for Chelsea since the end of the tournament.
A move for Meslier will only add to what could be a busy transfer window for the Blues. They are closing in on a record-breaking deal for World Cup star Enzo Fernandez and are also rivalling Arsenal in the race for Ukrainian playmaker Mykhaylo Mudryk.
