It is highly unlikely for a giant python to attempt to swallow a male hippo. Hippos are some of the largest and most aggressive animals on land, weighing up to 3,500 kg (7,716 lbs), while pythons are among the largest snakes in the world, but they typically prey on smaller animals such as rodents, birds, and reptiles.
Even if a giant python were to attempt to attack a hippo, it would likely be unsuccessful. Hippos have incredibly thick skin and powerful muscles, making them difficult to penetrate or incapacitate. Additionally, hippos have been known to use their large, sharp teeth to defend themselves against predators, which would be a significant threat to a python.
