Jared Leto didn’t hold back when it came to method acting his role as the Joker in Suicide Squad.
The actor was determined to put the willies up his co-stars and to that end, he told E! at CinemaCon, he even sent them used condoms and anal beads.
‘I did a lot of things to create a dynamic to create an element of surprise, a spontaneity and to really break down any kind of walls that may be there,’ the 44-year-old explained.

As for sending his castmates sex toys, he said: ‘The Joker is somebody who doesn’t really respect things like personal space or boundaries.’
Margot Robbie, who stars as Harley Quinn, received a live rat from Leto, and he also had a dead pig delivered to the set.
‘There were many instances where I didn’t know what to expect from Jared,’ she said.

It was already widely reported that Leto kept to himself on the set of the movie that was shot in Toronto.
Back in October, Will Smith revealed during a radio interview that he was still to meet the real Leto and while they’d spent six months together on the film, they never actually spoke to each other except while shooting scenes in character.
At CinemaCon in Las Vegas Tuesday, where he joined the rest of the cast, Smith reiterated just how much the Dallas Buyer’s Club star immersed himself in the comic villain role.
‘He really set the tone. He wasn’t playing with it. He was dead serious as an actor. He was going in and he was 100 percent going into this character,’ he told E!
Suicide Squad hits theatres on August 5.
