Renowned boxer Floyd Mayweather has recently revealed plans to participate in five exhibition fights in the year 2023.
The five-division world champion retired from professional boxing in 2017 with a perfect 50-0 record after beating Conor McGregor, and has since fought a series of exhibition fights against the likes of Logan Paul and Deji Olatunji.
His last fight saw the 46-year-old make his UK debut in a dominant display against reality TV star Aaron Chambers at the O2.
Mayweather has now outlined his plans for the rest of 2023, as he posted a video on Instagram outlining the next stage of his ‘heist’ tour.
‘This is what my 2023 looks like so far,’ his caption read, ‘five exhibitions in five countries in nine months.

‘And if any of these exhibitions don’t happen, I still get paid. I’m the most active hustler in boxing, my money is guaranteed.’
He also confirmed the fights will be spread across South Korea, Germany, Japan, Australia and the USA.
There had previously been talk of Mayweather fighting YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, who recently lost by split decision to Tommy Fury, but the 46-year-old played down the chances of such a bout.
Speaking ahead of the Chambers fight, he said: ‘I’m not chasing it anymore. I have accomplished everything I could in boxing. We have so many young fighters in boxing today.
‘Give them a chance to go out there so they can shine. It’s not about Jake Paul, it’s not about Floyd Mayweather.
‘I’m going to entertain the people so support me and my opponent.’
The five-division world champion has now announced another five exhibition fights in 2023
Mayweather claims he is giving fans excitement as a ‘pioneer’ for exhibition bouts – a lucrative business that is now being pounced on by the likes of Logan and Jake Paul, Mike Tyson, Pacquiao and even Ricky Hatton.
‘I’m a pioneer of being a boxer,’ he added. ‘I’m an entrepreneur. I’m playing chess in the real world. I’m truly blessed. I can’t take my opponent for granted. It’s entertaining.
‘Everyone knows when Floyd Mayweather wants to change the pace, he can do it. In this exhibition world, I’m the pioneer of this.
‘I’ve taken an MMA guy to boxing, and a boxing guy to the MMA. I’m happy we’re able to come together and give people excitement.’
