Leopards are aʋid predators that ʜᴜɴᴛ at night. Although 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 leopards stay with their mother for up to 18 months, they are solitary animals that only come together to eat. Leopards use their keen hearing and vision to locate their prey.
&aamp;aamp;nƄsp;
When a prey is located, the leopard advances slowly in that direction. Cats of all breeds are widely known to engage in this activity, known as stalking. The leopard stalks its prey until it is no more than 10 to 15 feet away, using its markings as a hide. Then the leopard charges with astonishing speed. If successful, the leopard holds the poor animal’s nose or throat with the seal while suffocating it.
In addition to having distinctive markings among Ƅig cats, leopards are also distinguished by what they do with their ᴋɪʟʟed prey. Leopards transport the body to a tree for storage, so they can keep it safe and return to it in the days following the month.
