Zach has got it going from beyond the arc this season.
Chicago Bulls wingman Zach LaVine made history in his last game against the Memphis Grizzlies as he sank three three-pointers to set the franchise’s record for most three-pointers made in a single season with 201. After breaking the previous record of 200, which he set during the 2020-2021 season, LaVine still has four more games to add to this total.
Prolific shooter
With this latest feat, “Flight 8” now has the four best three-point shooting seasons in Bulls’ history. He made 184 three-pointers in the 2019-2020 season and had 185 last season.

LaVine is now on track to break the franchise record for most career triples currently held by former point guard and team captain Kirk Hinrich, who has 1,049. LaVine has 932 in the six seasons he’s played for the Bulls. At the pace he’s going, the high-flyer may surpass Hinrich sometime next season.
Three-point threat
LaVine’s three-point shooting is key for a Bulls squad that is seemingly allergic to shots from behind the arc. Chicago is dead-last in the league rankings for three-pointers made per game with 10.5 and three-pointers attempted per game with 28.7. Aside from LaVine, there aren’t too many credible three-point shooters on the squad apart from Coby White, Nikola Vucevic, Patrick Williams, and Pat Beverley. This creates problems for the Bulls, as they’re unable to spread the floor and either drive or kick out for a wide-open three.
