Casemiro has been congratulated by his Manchester United team-mates after being named in the FIFPRO World 11.

As reported by Manchester United’s official website, Casemiro was one of those selected from a shortlist of 26 players.

The accolade, which recognised his La Liga and Champions League exploits with former club Real Madrid, was a fitting follow-up to his Carabao Cup final goal versus Newcastle on Sunday at Wembley.

Following his achievement, Casemiro returned to Carrington ahead of Wednesday’s Emirates FA Cup fifth-round tie against West Ham at Old Trafford.

In addition, they are through to the Europa League round of 16, where they will take on Real Betis.

United also can’t be discounted in the Premier League title race, although they are currently eight points behind leaders Arsenal.

The Brazilian shared his celebrations with his United team-mates, posing for an image with the rest of the squad, and his trophy.

The togetherness among the Reds is palpable, and the image is another indicator of that.

If individuals succeed, we succeed together.

Congratulations once more, Casemiro, here’s to many more great achievements!
