The beef between Fast & Furious co-stars Dwayne Johnson and Tyrese Gibson has intensified after the latter posted a video of The Rock criticising Gibson’s 2015 album ‘Black Rose’ – watch the clip below.
The two actors have been trading insults in the press and on social media in the past week, with Gibson saying that the delay of the ninth film in the Fast & Furious franchise had been down to Johnson’s “selfishness”.
Prior to those comments, Gibson raised the stakes higher by posting a two-year-old clip to Instagram of Johnson mocking Gibson’s 2015 album ‘Black Rose’.

In the clip – which carries the caption “Haters come in many forms” – Johnson is seen on set criticising the album, having heard it for the first time in his trailer.
“I’ve got to say in all honesty, it’s the biggest piece of dog-shit that I’ve ever heard,” Johnson says in the clip, before later adding: “It shouldn’t be called ‘Black Rose’, it should be called ‘Big piece of black dog-shit.’”
The tension between Johnson and Gibson has escalated following the news that Johnson’s Fast & Furious spin-off – which he will star in opposite Jason Statham – will be released before the next Fast & Furious film, which has been pushed back to April 2020.
