Somewhere over the rainbow – in Pittsburgh, to be more exact – a group of newborns is going viral for wearing adorable ‘Wizard of Oz’ costumes before heading home from the hospital.
These munchkins dressed as “Wizard of Oz” characters will send you over the rainbow.
To honor the classic movie’s upcoming 80th anniversary, employees at West Penn Hospital dressed four babies in teeny-tiny outfits inspired by different characters from the film, including the tiny Dorothy, the Tin Man, the Scarecrow, and the Cowardly Lion.
The newborns posed in their costumes atop beds covered in satiny yellow sheets as a nod to the Yellow Brick Road, which Dorothy skips down to get to the Emerald City. How precious!
The pictures have since gone viral, garnering dozens of comments from Facebook users whose hearts have practically melted into a puddle on the floor over them. Ahead, see all the adorable bundles of joy looking Halloween-ready in their Wizard of Oz-themed costumes. It’s pretty darn hard to pick a favorite!
The newborn dressed as Dorothy donned a blue gingham outfit, complete with red ruby slippers.
The newborn scarecrow looked anything but scary.
Tiny Lion looked ready to roar in an outfit complete with lion’s ears and a mane.
Baby Tin Man even had a heart.
The “Wizard of Oz” was released on Aug. 25, 1939, and remains one of Hollywood’s most popular films.
