Fans have ripped into David De Gea’s ’embarrassing’ blunder that led to Everton’s equalising goal against Manchester United.
The Spanish goalkeeper was caught out at his near-post as the ball squirmed between his legs and crept into the path of Conor Coady – who levelled for the visiting side.
De Gea would’ve been expected to save the effort – given it was straight at him – however, after failing to do so, fans have labelled the mistake as ‘hilarious’ online.

After Brazil winger Antony had given United an early lead in the FA Cup tie, Coady equalised just minutes later and caused De Gea to receive some brutal criticisms.
‘De gea just had an absolute shocker,’ one fan wrote. ‘Blimey that’s a shocker from De Gea. Jesus Christ, it’s hilarious,’ another posted.
One fan went with a brutal criticism on the Spaniard, writing: ‘De gea that is embarrassing.’
‘Bring on jack butland this de gea guy is finished haha,’ one user wrote – alluding to Man United’s nearing move for the England goalkeeper.
Similarly, another wrote: ‘De gea is FINISHED, BUTLAND IS CLEAR.’
In a rather simple statement, one user wrote: ‘De gea shocker’. ‘De Gea is so finished,’ another claimed.

United took the lead after just three minutes when Marcus Rashford drilled a ball across the box for Antony to tap-in and give the hosts an early advantage.
They were pulled back level just 10 minutes later after De Gea’s unfortunate blunder, which allowed Coady to score.
Demarai Gray nearly gave the visitors the advantage after his effort struck the post in the first-half of the FA Cup contest.
