You’ll fall in love with this Beech Mountain, North Carolina, United States cabin rental that sleeps up to 6 guests. The log home has 3 beds, and 3 bathrooms, perfect for your North Carolina vacation. The Roper Retreat is a new log home in Camp Eagles Nest with long-range views towards Virginia and Tennessee. The beautiful, new kitchen opens to the living area with deck access. The gas fireplace and large TV have several chairs and a sleeper sofa. The two ensuites are on either side of the living room. The ensuite king bedroom to the right has a TV and a fabulous bathroom. The bathroom has a large, tiled shower with a large oversized shower head and a detachable wand, and the double vanity with a granite countertop. The ensuite king on the left has the same great views, with a tiled tub/shower combination, and a granite double vanity. On the back deck, you’ll find a gas grill and steps down to the yard. The BullFrog hot tub will hold the group, and the fire pit is only a few steps away. Parking is flat and level for 2 to 3 vehicles.
While enjoying your vacation stay at The Roper Retreat, you have access to most amenities inside of Eagles Nest. Amenities available to you include the Great Camp, BBQ Pavilion, Amphitheater (location of summer concerts from May to the end of November), great lawn, playground, hiking trails, ropes course and climbing tower (seasonal), mini-golf course, and toy barn. At the North Pavilion, you’ll have access to the ball field, Sportsmans Lodge (unlocked portion only), Sports Court (basketball and pickleball), dog park, walking trail, Sportsman’s Grille (Wednesday to Sunday hours vary), fire pit, woodland trail system (ATV trails, hiking, and biking). Camp (BYO equipment), tennis courts, pickleball, disc golf, and archery. Vineyard. Please note all visitors on the premises must be 16 years or older. This is strictly enforced. Guests do not have access to the locked-off portion of the Sportsman’s Lodge, the Fitness Center, or the Wine and Cigar Bar. That is for member use only.
Biking. Beech offers a wide range of biking adventures for everyone and every skill level. There are plenty of biking and cycling options with road cyclists having 51 miles of designated routes cross-country mountain bikers having seven miles of trails in the Emerald Outback, and 3 downhill mountain bikers having the highest lift-served park east of the Rockies. So, whether you want to go on a leisurely ride along one of the gorgeous trails or shred the gnar on the downhill ride of your life, Beech puts the joy in joyride.
Hiking. Beech has a gorgeous mile-high Emerald Outback trail park and several other miles of maintained trails, so exploring the mountain is a thrilling activity for hikers of all ages and skill levels. Winding through the woods, reaching a waterfall, stepping over the mossy stones by the creek to wave hello to a family of deer, there’s no better place to take the stigma out of the phrase, go take a hike.
