The possibility of Bob Myers leaving the Golden State Warriors frustrates Draymond Green.

The Golden State Warriors are undoubtedly the best team of the last decade or so. But it seems like that the Dubs’ dynasty is on the verge of ending.

The reason behind it is that there are rumors that the Warriors may part ways with their general manager Bob Myers after 12 years of service. Draymond Green recently shared his views on the news while revealing his frustrations.

“That does suck, because again, Bob is one of the guys I rode in with, that I’ve been on this journey with for 11 years and have all been plugging away each and every year trying to deliver championships. That’s what makes us go, that’s what we’re all in it for. The possibility that he may not be here does not sit well with me. It’s frustrating.

“Number one, most importantly, I built a friendship, a relationship with Bob Myers that even if he is gone, when I’m gone, both of us no longer here … that is a relationship that I have built that will last for the rest of my life. Someone I confide in, someone I trust. And so, to know that may not be here, that sucks. That hurts, because I’ve appreciated going to work with him every day for the last 11 years and the things that he’s taught me.”

Bob Myers is an integral part of the Golden State Warriors organization. If he were to leave the team, it could lead to a domino effect, and the entire dynasty could blow up.

Draymond Green mentioned how he forged a great relationship with Myers over the years. Myers has a similar relationship with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. So his departure could have a catastrophic impact on the morale of the team.

Golden State Warriors Reportedly Offered A New Contract To Bob Myers

Bob Myers’ contract negotiations with the Warriors have been going on for several months now. But the two sides are yet to reach a decision.

Many are wondering if the Warriors have even offered Myers a contract extension. Well, it was recently reported that not only have the Dubs done that, they have offered him a contract that would make him the highest-paid GM in the league.

“While it may not be enough to keep Bob Myers with the Golden State Warriors, multiple league sources believe that the contract offer extended to the team’s president of basketball operations would make him the highest-paid general manager in the NBA.”

Will this be enough to ensure Myers’ future with the Warriors? Only time will tell. For now, the organization also has to focus on adding better pieces to the roster after an early exit from the postseason.
