After years of personal struggles, Selena Gomez is “focusing on the positive,” a source confirmed to Life & Style exclusively. “She’s finally in a good place, and happier than ever.” Of course, the singer’s new mindset didn’t come without plenty of work. Selena, 26, checked into a rehab facility in October 2018 that lead to some serious breakthroughs.

“Selena desperately wanted to be happy,” the insider explained, “and that’s why she took this latest treatment so seriously. It hasn’t been easy, and she still sees a therapist regularly, but she’s managed to overcome many of her obstacles. She never wants to be in such a dark place again.”

In addition to Selena’s inner-strength and bravery, she’s been able to lean on her longtime BFF and fellow entertainer Taylor Swift quite a bit. “If Selena is upset, Taylor’s the first person she calls,” the source revealed, while an additional insider said, “They’ve been through so much together and nothing will ever get in the way of their friendship.” Basically, we’re team #TayLena for life.

As for Selena’s social life outside of Taylor? Well, she’s getting there. “Selena’s been out for a few dinners, but nothing serious,” the source said. “One of the lessons she’s learned is how to prioritize herself. She’s on the right track again.” So much so, that she’s seemingly no longer holding onto to past ties to ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber.

In fact, Selena recently deleted the very last trace of The Biebs from her Instagram page. No tea, no shade, but we suspect his wife, Hailey Baldwin, was pleased to see that. Keep shining, Selena.
