A woman who ʟᴏsᴛ her ꜰᴇᴛᴜs in a ᴄᴀʀ ᴀᴄᴄɪᴅᴇɴᴛ in the 23rd week of pregnancy shared a final goodbye with her unborn baby.
According to reports from local media such as the Metro on the 27th, Emma Fairbyon (21) had an ᴀᴄᴄɪᴅᴇɴᴛ when she ᴄᴏʟʟɪᴅᴇᴅ with another vehicle while driving on the road.
She was 23 weeks pregnant at the time and was immediately taken to the hospital, where she received first aid and was fortunately diagnosed as not ɪɴ ᴅᴀɴɢᴇʀ.
However, the ꜰᴇᴛᴜs in the belly, a boy, was different. Obstetrics and gynecology medical staff diagnosed that the condition of the ꜰᴇᴛᴜs was not good due to the sʜᴏᴄᴋ of the ᴄᴀʀ ᴀᴄᴄɪᴅᴇɴᴛ and eventually declared a sᴛɪʟʟʙɪʀᴛʜ three days after the ᴀᴄᴄɪᴅᴇɴᴛ occurred.
The baby, who came into the world too early, was too small for her mother to hold. Emma held such a little boy dearly in her arms and held her baby’s little hand.
The baby’s hand, which came out of her mother’s belly with her breath stopped, was only about the size of an adult’s little finger, but she seemed to hold her mother’s hand tightly and not let go.
So that she could say goodbye to her little one, the nurses gave her a refrigerated crib that allowed her to stay with her son for two days. “I can’t even explain what it’s like to give birth to a baby who was already ᴅᴇᴀᴅ. At least I got to spend two days with him,” said Emma.
Emma photographed the brief moments she spent with her baby and shared them on social media. “I took many photos. For me, my son is the most beautiful baby in the world, and I just wanted to share with people how beautiful he is, like any other mother would do with her baby,” explained Emma.
Emma also spoke about the difficulty of understanding that her baby has ᴘᴀssᴇᴅ ᴀᴡᴀʏ. “In my mind, I still think I will give birth in September. I don’t even know if I want to have other kids anymore; now I just want Flynn, but I can’t have him,” lamented Emma.
