Today, we rescued this poor soul!! We loaded him in the car and immediately took him to Stray Rescue’s trauma center for emergency, life-saving care. His neck is shredded.
It looks like he was in a dog-fight to the death, but somehow came out the other side alive. We’re thankful to the construction workers who found him and called us right away. When we laid eyes on him, we shocked to say the least. We couldn’t believe he was up and walking. We named him Denver.
But once our doctors started cleaning his wounds, we discovered just how deep it was. He was also covered in smaller bites ALL over his body.
We sewed the large wound up to protect his vital organs, although the skin we used to sew him up may end up dying in the next few days. The biggest priority is to make sure he is protected.
Please give and help us save this sweet boy, who, even in obvious pain, was kind of enough to wag his tail at us.
