FANS fear they will “never unsee” a snap of Erling Haaland in just his wonder-smalls with Noel Gallagher.
Manchester City were celebrating pulling Arsenal’s pants down in a 4-1 win.
Man City dfns were much happier when they saw Erling Haaland in a more typical pose, rounding off a decisive victory over Prem leaders Arsenal
Some supporters were undie-whelmed to see this shot of drawers specialist Haaland with Noel Gallagher as City celebrated a momentous 4-1 win
But despite rounding off the victory with a record 49th goal of the term, Haaland was later blamed for “one of the worst photos of all time”.
The goal machine stripped to his Calvin Klein pants as he posed with fully-dressed Oasis singer and super-fan Gallagher.
City are now just two points behind Prem leaders Arsenal and have two games in hand.
But fans were as stunned by Haaland’s near-naked image as the Gunners’ defence had been by the peppering of their goal at the Etihad.
“Good lord,” exclaimed one, “This is a hate crime,” said another and a third pondered: “How do I unsee that?”
Given City’s post-match party mood, Haaland might rightly claim he was not at his best.
And one observer seemed to take that into account as he wrote: “This looks like someone’s kitchen at 4:57am this Bank Holiday weekend….”
But another supporter almost spilled her hot drink as she wrote: “That’s not what I wanted to see at tea time. Calvin Klein used to be sexy.”
Gallagher did, however, do his best to distract attention from the snap – by trolling pundit Jamie Carragher in an interview.
Ex-Liverpool defender Carra has suggested out-and-out striker Haaland might not be as snug a fit for City’s tactics as his Y-fronts are.
And Gallagher pounced on that in a reported exchange with the media.
A journalist noted: “There was talk that he is the problem with City.”
Gallagher queried: “From Jamie Carragher?”
And when the journo replied “possibly” the rock star whipped back at Supersonic speed: “Well it’s a good job nobody listens to him, isn’t it.”
Haaland enjoyed showing more flashes of genius against the Gunners
