Arsenal’s Ainsley Maitland-Niles And The Untold Story Of His Feud With His Mother Jule Niles

Arsenal loanee, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, abandoned his homeless mum who had been living in a metal storage container according to reports.

Ainsley’s mothe, Jules Niles, while explaining her predicament to The Sun news outlet said she had to sneak past staff at the Big Yellow Storage warehouse to sleep in a 10ft square metal container despite her son earning £30,000 a week at Arsenal as of 2018.

Jules Niles claimed she has been living in the box for more than three months after her relationship with her son Ainsley withered and the footballer has refused to be a guarantor so she could rent a flat.

She said: “It’s a metal container with no windows or carpet. There are no toilets or washing facilities.

“It’s not a home. I know what home feels like – to be able to shower, brush your teeth and sit in your room.

Meanwhile, according to The Sun report, her son, Ainsley got a £700,000 apartment where he lived with his brother Cordi in Finchley, North London.

Ainsley’s £700,000 apartment

The 25-year-old England star Ainsley, who is currently playing for Southampton on a loan deal was earning £30,000 a week as of 2018 when his mum made the revelation.

She revealed that her son Ainsley, who is financially buoyant could buy her a flat with two weeks or two months’ wages.

She said: “My son plays for Arsenal and I am homeless and in a storage unit.”

It’s alright to say Ainsley’s behavior is certainly an act of wickedness no one is expected to show to one’s enemy or relative not to talk of one’s mother.

But before passing any judgment on this, let’s take a look at his background and why Ainsley and his mother, who once acted as his agent are now ‘enemies’

Ainsley Maitland-Niles’s background and race to stardom

Jule Niles, according to reports, raised her two sons as a devoted single mother without adequate help from their father.

Mother-son hostility

The root of the feud between Ainsley Maitland-Niles and his mother is owed to Jule’s inability to comport herself in managing her son’s career despite the claims her efforts were for his good.

Aside from her quarrel with Arsenal’s authority, the last straw that broke the camel’s back was when Jule was accused of clashing with Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy during Ainsley’s loan spell there.

Jule was accused of leaving an X-rated message on the manager’s phone after he refused to let the under-21 England International player attend an England kit launch.

Meanwhile, this incident happened before Ainsley’s debut at Arsenal.

On his return to Arsenal to make his debut, he rented a three-bedroom home near Arsenal’s training center in Hertfordshire.

However, Ainsley decided to turn his back on his mum after the management of the home he rented gave him a quit notice following his mother’s dispute with football authorities.

Perhaps, he believes doing away with his mother who was always destroying things at every club he goes could save his football career.

Jule was on a vacation in Australia, a trip paid for by her son, Ainsley, when the quit notice was served.

When Jule returned from Australia, she said she noticed her sons were behaving strangely and days later, Ainsley moved out of the house with his brother Cordi.

And that explains why Ainsley rented the £700,000 luxury apartment in Finchley, North London without taking his mum along.

Jule narrated her plight

Jule, while narrating her side of the story in an interview session with The Sun said she was given six months to find a new home and she was finally kicked out when her son decided he would not help.

She said: “I couldn’t believe it. I was devastated.”

Jule, a childcare worker, said she could not find anywhere to rent because she is on a zero-hours contract and her income does not come on regularly.

Jule revealed she had to find shelter at the back of a van and slept on sofas in friends’ homes before she moved into the freezing container.

During an interview with The Sun in 2018, she claimed she spent 2017 Christmas Day in the container alone, getting lunch at a nearby homeless center.

She told The Sun she spends her days sitting in coffee shops or the local library to stay warm.

ule said she sent pictures of her predicament at the Big Yellow unit to both her sons but they never cared.

She said Ainsley promised to give her £1,200 but the footballer failed to fulfill the promise.

Jule said that since the rift Ainsley has occasionally sent her money, giving hundreds of pounds each time.

But she added: “I believe there are very dark forces operating within football.”

In contrast to the allegations raised by Jule that her son, Ainsley Maitland-Niles abandoned her, a source close to Ainsley made a new revelation.

The source revealed that Ainsley was unaware Jule was living in a storage container and added the 25-year-old Southampton star has been giving her money and he will continue to do so.

Ainsley is famous for his calmness and report has it that he likes to pay attention to the smallest details, whether on the pitch or off the pitch.

As observed from his “spin the wheel challenge” with Rob Holding, it can be deduced that he has a sense of logical reasoning.

It has been long since Ainsley’s bizarre relationship with his mum came to the limelight but report suggests that there’s been a change since the interview came up.

However, the relationship isn’t as cordial as a mother-son relationship ought to be following Ainsley’s fear that his mother’s past deeds could be repeated to the detriment of his career.
