Photographer Kathy Rosario of K Ro Photography has always been interested in capturing stunning photos of pregnancy, childbirth, and babies. So when her friend and fellow photographer decided to have a water birth at home, Kathy volunteered to capture every wonderful moment of the ᴍᴏᴍᴇɴᴛᴏᴜs event.

According to Kathy, when a woman gives birth at home, it creates a different atmosphere filled with ᴘᴜʀᴇ ʙʟɪss and ᴛʀᴀɴǫᴜɪʟɪᴛʏ. She has been used to capturing moments of childbirth, but there is something about home birth that makes the moment ᴇxᴛʀᴀ special.

“I have photographed quite a few births already, but nothing quiet compared to the sᴇʀᴇɴɪᴛʏ of a home water birth!”

Although water births aren’t sᴜɪᴛᴀʙʟᴇ for everyone, Kathy’s friend was a great candidate since she was young and healthy.

Kathy’s friend is about to give birth. To ᴄᴏᴘᴇ with the ᴘᴀɪɴꜰᴜʟ ᴄᴏɴᴛʀᴀᴄᴛɪᴏɴs, she ᴛʀᴇᴀᴛs herself to ʟᴀʙᴏʀ ᴀɪᴅ ᴘᴏᴘsɪᴄʟᴇs, which she made herself.

The most-awaited moment finally comes. Mom literally ʙʀɪɴɢs her baby into the world!

Baby takes her first breaths of life. The miracle of life is captured on film!

After having two sons, she finally gives birth to a beautiful baby girl!

The smile on mommy’s face says it all!
