After tasting success in WWE, Dwayne Johnson would leave it all behind and joined Hollywood to become an actor. After years of struggle, he would finally hit the mark, and go on to have multiple successful films to his name. Currently, one of the richest actors in the industry, Johnson has certainly come a long way.
Apart from being a former pro wrestler, actor, and ace businessman, Johnson is also a fitness enthusiast. And it can be proven just by having a glance at The Rock’s impressive physique. The 50-year-old always had an impressive physique, which he took it up a notch during his recent film, Black Adam.
However, in an interview with The Wired, Johnson was asked a weird question by his fans. They asked him, ““What’s wrong with The Rock’s abs?” to which his co-actress Emily Blunt had a hilarious reaction. Johnson would then go on to answer the question and give them a detailed explanation.
The Rock would explain that his abs are normal, but he injured them during a wrestling match, thus giving them their current look. His response would Emily Blunt go silent. The often glamorous world of social media gives people fake expectations and set the bar for beauty standards.
But Johnson would break the stereotype, and make his fans understand his situation,
What is wrong with The Rock’s abs?
As explained in the video above, there is nothing wrong with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s abs, and they are perfectly natural. However, as he stated, he once injured them in a wrestling match, making them unable to go back to their original position.
He said, “I’ve got a five-and-a-half pack, sometimes a four-and-a-half pack. But the problem was – which a lot of people don’t know – I tore it in a wrestling match, I tore the top of my quad off my pelvis, it went bang, in a wrestling match.” He explained that his injury led to a chain reaction, it was followed by tearing of his abdomen wall and requiring a triple hernia surgery.
Johnson suffered this injury during his famous WrestleMania 29 match against John Cena. Johnson has long recovered from it, and has worked hard to achieve the peak body fitness he has today.
