Dua Lipa is reportedly putting the finishing touches to her ‘really personal third album’.
The singer, 27, rose to fame with her debut album, Dua Lipa, and her latest album, Future Nostalgia, which just surpassed 10 billion streams.
The six-time Brit Award winner has now spent hundreds of hours in the recording studio in between sections of her world tour.
Dua hopes to release new music before the end of 2023 and her record company bosses are desperately trying to ensure recordings for the highly-anticipated LP are secure after a song she previously worked on with Pharrell Williams was leaked.
A music insider told The Sun: ‘Dua’s third album is really personal to her and she has been hands on at every turn.
‘She has spent hundreds of hours in the studio and has written on every song — that is really important to her.
‘Dua has been very clear about her direction in keeping it upbeat and fun, but she will be a lot more revealing in her lyrics.
The source also hinted at collaborations in the album as ‘talented artists’ have been asking to work with her.
Speaking last month to the publication, Dua said: ‘It has a lyrical theme, more so than sonically.
‘There’s still a sonic element as you go through it, it’s still pop. I still want to dance and do another crazy tour.
‘It’s a bit more mature [than Future Nostalgia] I think in terms of the experiences.’
Future Nostalgia in March 2021 won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album and its lead single Don’t Start Now attained critical success, including Grammy noms for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.
Dua recently came to the end of her mammoth Future Nostalgia tour after ten months of travelling the world.

For accounts just filed record that the Kosovo-Albanian Londoner has added another £4 million to her fortune.
Her company Dua Lipa Limited now has £21.6 million tucked away — up from £17.5 million the previous year.
Bearing in mind that another of her companies has assets of £11.6 million, it suggests her new manager is performing satisfactorily.
Just as well: he’s the songstress’s father, Dukagjin Lipa.
In February it was revealed that Dua split from the management company that helped turn her into a global sensation, following a disagreement over earnings.
The singer, who signed for London-based Tap Management in 2013 while working as a cocktail bar waitress, stunned its bosses when she said she no longer wanted them to represent her.
Music industry sources said at the time her departure was linked to the size of the cut she received from recording and commercial deals negotiated on her behalf by Tap Management.
Miss Lipa, a three-times Grammy award winner, is signed to Warner Music and has lucrative deals with firms including Evian, Yves Saint Laurent and Versace. She also has social-media deals to promote the Truly alcoholic drink.
While some of her endorsements were recent, others pre-dated her emergence as a global superstar with 79 million followers on Instagram, when her negotiating position would have been weaker.
Commenting on her surprise decision to leave Tap Management and her manager Ben Mawson, a source said at the time: ‘It all came as a bit of a shock, but unfortunately there will always be disagreements when it comes to money.
‘Things had been brewing for some time. Tap have taken her from an unknown teenager to the most successful female artist in the world.

When you look at it like that, you can’t help but think something quite bad has happened.’
She became a household name in 2018 when her single, One Kiss, topped charts around the world.
A year later, she won the Brit Award for Song of the Year and scooped best new artist and best dance recording prizes at the Grammys.
It was reported at the time that Miss Lipa’s father Dukagjin would take over her management from Tap, whose other stars include Ellie Goulding and former Little Mix singer Leigh-Ann Pinnock.
