Every Arsenal fan knew before the start of this season that Gabriel Martinelli is an absolute superstar – the world is standing up to take notice now.
When you talk about football and Brazil, the first names that come to your mind these days are Neymar and Viniicius Jr. Both players are stars of their respective clubs and are among the most popular Brazilians out there.

If you’re not an Arsenal fan and someone asked you to name which of the three Brazilians have scored the most goals in their respective leagues this season, we’re sure Gabriel Martinelli would be your third choice.
Well, you’re wrong.
Martinelli (14) hasn’t just scored more league goals than Neymar (13) and Vinicius Jr (9) this season, he has also outscored every other Brazilian in Europe’s top-five leagues.
That is an outrageous statistic considering that Martinelli is still only 21 years old. He’s playing in the best league in the world as well, which makes his numbers even more impressive.
To add to the goals, Martinelli averages fewer dispossessions and has had fewer unsuccessful touches per game than both Neymar and Vinicius Jr in the league this season.

Put some respect on Martinelli’s name.
Apart from Arsenal fans, most other football watchers don’t quite understand how good Martinelli is. Some of them haven’t seen him enough, while the others just don’t want to admit it.
However, the fact is that Martinelli is a truly sensational talent, and the fact that he is still just 21 years old means he will get better and better in the coming years.
Arsenal take on West Ham United next, and after his goal and an assist against Liverpool, Martinelli is almost a guaranteed starter.
