He’s not called The Rock for nothing.
Dwayne Johnson, 49, showcased his massive muscles during a late night gym session in an Instagram snap he posted on Monday.
The actor’s huge veins could be seen on his gigantic legs and ripped upper arms as he posed for a picture.
Muscle bound! A ripped Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, 49, showed off the results of his training during a late night gym session to prepare for scenes for upcoming film Black Adam – posting the snap on Instagram on Tuesday
The former WWE wrestler wore an Iron Paradise vest which had an eagle flying amid lightning strikes.
The slogan ‘made, not born’ is reflective of The Rock’s stature as he’s put many hours in lifting weights to produce his look.
Dwayne is to appear in upcoming film Black Adam, set for release in July 2022, a superhero movie based on the DC Comics character of the same name.
He plays the title character, an antihero who was jailed for 5,000 years and who is the archenemy of Shazam, sharing his powers from the ancient wizard of the same name.
The Rock captioned his post: ‘Late night training. Big week for Black Adam shooting my “champion” scenes with my shirt off and showing my body.
‘Been working extremely hard dieting, training and conditioning unlike any other role of my entire career.
‘Manipulating water, sodium, cardio but also having to push and pull real iron to have dense, dry, detailed muscle.
‘It’s a real science that takes months and months to dial it all in with my strength & conditioning coach @daverienzi who keeps a very watchful eye, constantly fine tuning our strategy daily.
‘As many of you know, the intense (and exciting) comic mythology of Teth Adam – he becomes the immortal “champion” by the Gods.
‘Blessed with the powers of Superman and dangerous magic from the wizards. Then his rage turns his soul dark, forever becoming Black Adam.
‘Big week, grateful for the grind & support – here we go.’
And, having been an actor and a wrestler, Dwayne could be considering a move into politics, just like fellow body-building Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger who was the 38th Governer of California from 2003 to 2011.
Fighting fit: Dwayne would like to run for President of the United States if he had support
The Rock says he would consider running for President of the United States if he felt he had enough support.
He confirmed his interest in transitioning into politics in an April interview for Sunday Today with Willie Geist.
‘I do have that goal to unite our country and I also feel that if this is what the people want, then I will do that,’ Johnson said.
The actor didn’t specify which political party he would represent of when he might launch a presidential bid.
And an online public opinion poll released by consumer trends company Piplsay in April found that 46% of Americans would consider voting for Johnson.
After hearing the news, alongside a screenshot of the article, The Rock wrote on Instagram that he was ‘humbled’ by the poll finding.
