Billie Eilish returns to her trademark style with freshly-dyed black locks and a baggy top and cycling shorts for the first night of her world tour

Billie Eilish brought back her jet black locks as she kicked off her world tour in Louisiana on Thursday evening.

The singer, 20, spent much of the past year with blonde locks and recently opted for a chocolate brunette style, but revived her trademark black ‘do for the Happier Than Ever tour.

She seemed in her element as she also returned to her signature style of a baggy T-shirt and cycling shorts while leaping around the stage at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.

Her raven black locks were styled in bunches with a choppy full fringe, while she acccessorised with a myriad of chunky chain necklaces.

Billie’s return to the stage came shortly after posted a glum-looking selfie to her Instagram, but promised fans that she was excited about performing again.

‘SEE YOU TONIGHTTTTTT!!!! FIRST DAY OF TOUR FINALLLYYYYYYYY AHHHHH!!!!!!!!’ the Grammy-winning star wrote as a caption.

Billie sported a vibrantly multicolored and graphic-printed t-shirt in the selfie, with freshly dyed black hair falling over her face.

Billie announced that she would be embarking on the Happier Than Ever, World Tour in a video shared to her YouTube account in May.

The tour will conclude with a duo of shows at the RAC Center in Brisbane, Australia, this coming September.

Billie’s first tour took place in 2017 and was in support of her debut EP, entitled Don’t Smile at Me.

She went on to support Florence And The Machine on their High as Hope Tour, which ran from 2018 to 2019.

Her first solo world tour, entitled the When We All Fall Asleep Tour, took place throughout much of 2019.

Billie spoke about going on the road during an interview with Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong for Rolling Stone, where she expressed that traveling frequently diminished her drive to write new songs.

‘There was a period where I was like, “Do I even enjoy music?” It just felt like so much touring,’ she said.

The singer expressed that, although she enjoyed performing, being on tour felt especially taxing.

‘The shows are always my favorite part. But it was just traveling and being alone all the time…when you come back, everyone’s kind of moved on from you,’ she stated.

Billie did point out, however, that she had eventually learned to like touring and that she was looking forward to her future performances.

‘This last tour I went on was the first I’ve ever enjoyed. I feel like I have this amazing thing that now I actually see,’ she said.
