The front porch has a lovely view as well. Lots of flowers bloom in the summer and fall.
The cottage has been fully updated and guests have access to all appliances and kitchen items including the washer, and dryer. The main bedroom has a king-size bed downstairs as well as a large bathroom. The second bedroom and desk area are located upstairs. Sheets, towels, toiletries, basic pantry items, and some snacks are provided. Books, movies, games, yoga mats, and dumbbells are also available. The vacation property also has a variety of wines from local wineries available if you would like to purchase a bottle during your vacation stay. Pets are welcome with a pet fee. The pet fee is for up to two pets, if you have more than two please you’ll want to reach out before booking. Dog beds, food, and water bowls are provided with advanced notice of pets. The driveway has parking space for two vehicles, with a sidewalk leading to the house. No stairs to climb unless you are using the upstairs bedroom.
The cottage is located in Sparta, North Carolina, United States in a beautiful scenic area that has a remote feel while just minutes from downtown. There are plenty of restaurants and shops downtown as well as a grocery store and brewery. Sparta is a beautiful mountain town that has lots of events throughout the year. Crouse Park downtown has a great walking trail, playground, pickle ball, splash pad, and picnic area. Nearby attractions include the Blue Ridge Parkway, Mountains to Sea trail, Stone Mountain State Park, New River State Park, Grayson Highlands State Park (Mt. Rodgers), and several wineries. In the fall there is a corn maze nearby and lots of choose and cut Christmas tree farms. Just 30 to 40 minutes from West Jefferson, Elkin, and Galax, Virginia. Muddy Creek Cafe Sparta. This a beautiful cafe downtown with a great atmosphere and menu. Food is always delicious. They have live music every Saturday and sometimes other days, check their website or social media for updates. They also have a great brunch on Sunday. Backwoods Bean Coffee Shop. This is a local favorite breakfast or lunch spot. Right downtown across from the courthouse. They have great coffee, smoothies, pastries, breakfast, and lunch sandwiches. On Saturday mornings they usually have amazing French toast. Crouse Park. This is a great little park only 5 minutes away, especially if you have kids but great for all ages. There is a walking trail, a covered pavilion, bathrooms, a huge playground, a splash pad, a pickle ball, a basketball, and a bocce ball.
