CRISTIANO RONALDO is no stranger to the odd commercial venture outside of football, but one advertising effort from 2019 has gone viral again and has left fans wincing.
The Manchester United forward loves a bizarre ad and was filmed fighting off ninjas in one particularly strange role last year.
The advert starts with Ronaldo scoring a free kick
Ronaldo starts dancing halfway through to cringeworthy music
But Ronaldo’s appearance in an ad for online shopping company Shopee, which has gone viral on Twitter again, may be even worse than that.
Fans have been left in disbelief that the 37-year-old would sign up to such a cringeworthy ad.
In the video Ronaldo is seen scoring a free kick inside a packed stadium before running off and pulling out his trademark ‘Siu’ celebration.
But everybody in the crowd suddenly turns orange as they make a purchase through the app, with Ronaldo then shown an orange card.
He too dons an orange top with Shopee branding as a cringeworthy tune starts playing.
But it gets even worse when CR7 starts dancing along to the music, waving his arms side to side.
Fans couldn’t believe his dancing, but were more surprised that he scored a free kick

The football legend isn’t exactly blessed with rhythm, although it wasn’t his stiff moves that surprised fans most.
Ronaldo’s ability to hit the back of the net with a free kick at the start of the ad is what really shocked viewers.
One joked on social media: “The most unrealistic part is actually Ronaldo getting a freekick on target.”
Another added: “Nah fr tho.. How did he agree to score a freekick?”
And a third chimed in: “They could at least have made it realistic by him hammering the ball into the wall like he always does.”
Ronaldo also has multiple other business ventures off the pitch to go with his advertising roles.
He recently announced the opening a new hair clinic in Valencia to go with the two he already has in Madrid and Marbella.
