The footballer, fashion designer and philanthropist has a wardrobe full of designer clothes but you can be just like Beckham by shopping on the high street
David Beckham is a man of the many talents.
The football legend may have retired five years ago, but he hasn’t had a dull moment since.
He had the best seat in the house on Tuesday night, next to model Bella Hadid as former club PSG played Real Madrid in the Champions League.
The 42-year-old has a range of businesses, including part ownership in an MLS team in Miami.
Beckham became famous with his brilliant free-kicks but these days you’ll find him sat at the front row of fashion shows all over the world.
The former England captain is also renowned for his impeccable style and dapper designer wardrobe.
Here’s how to get his look for less.
Patriot Games
His wife Victoria Beckham is the former Spice Girl turned successful fashion designer who started her own namesake brand a decade ago.
It seems that she gave her husband a few ideas of his own because in 2015, the former England captain became a partner of the heritage brand Kent & Curwen.
Brought in by Creative Director Daniel Kearns to create more buzz and appeal to a younger market, together the pair create a cool ode to England with their relaxed rugby shirts, flag-print T-shirts, distressed denim and dandy outwear.
Victoria Beckham and David Beckham’s
Prices start from £55 – you can buy the collection from Mr Porter, Farfetch and END clothing.
But when the UNICEF UK ambassador isn’t wearing Kent & Curwen, you can catch him in designer togs by the likes of Louis Vuitton, Saint Laurent and Ralph Lauren.
In fact, he owns a bag that costs a crazy £2,600.
Don’t have that kind of dosh lying around?
We’ve found his outfits on the high street for a fraction of the cost:
Louis lovin’
Back in January David Beckham joined wife Victoria on a trip to Paris.
Having hopped off the Eurostar from London, he was spotted at Gare du Nord station looking dapper as ever.
The 42-year-old was kitted out in head-to-toe Louis Vuitton and carrying not one, but two bags by the French fashion house – and they came to a total of £3,980.
His boots and jeans were also high end gear, costing £750 and £415 respectively.

David moved to LA in 2007 and has been a regular at American sports events ever since.
Here he is with son Romeo, sitting court side at at NBA game in LA last October.
The pair spent some quality father and son time together, munching on nachos while they watched the LA Lakers beat the Washington Wizards.
But don’t mistake this for a casual outing, the pair were both wearing designer outfits.- the 15-year-old Romeo’s Supreme X Louis Vuitton hoodie was worth £650 a retail price and now goes for up to £6,200 on eBay.
- Embroidered sweatshirt, £15, Topman
- X PLR trainers, £70, adidas Originals at ASOS
David’s outfit was a little more affordable – he was wearing a sweatshirt from Kent & Curwen that is currently selling for £135 and a pair of Adidas trainers – they’re now sold out, but they retailed at £89.99.
Still, if you want to save a few pounds, these high street alternatives will definitely do the trick.
David Beckham posted this selfie on Instagram of him wearing a Fair Isle jumper from Kent & Curwen
Beckham showed off his knitwear when he posted this selfie on Instagram.
Posing beside his Landrover Defender against a rural backdrop, the dad-of-four wore a country-appropriate cosy jumper – this Fair Isle number by Kent & Curwen.
- Fair Isle, £29.99, Pull & Bear at ASOS
- Ribbed beanie, £5, ASOS
This sold-out jumper is knitted with a mixture of silk, mohair and wool – so in some ways, it is well worth its price.
But we’d rather save the £122 and buy this one from Pull & Bear.
Top it with a ribbed beanie and you’ll look just as good as the man himself.
