Beachgoers in Spain were in for a shock when they stumbled upon the world’s largest squid washed up on the shore.
The massive creature measured in at an astonishing 30 feet in length, with tentacles spanning nearly 20 feet long. Although it’s rare to find a squid of this size on land, giant squid are known to inhabit the deepest parts of the ocean, and can grow to be up to 43 feet long.
