Becoming a parent is a wonderful experience that puts mothers and fathers in awe as they can’t wait to hold their baby in their arms. That is why, sometimes, the joy of raising their child pushes some parents to “spoil” their little ones from the first days of their lives, for example, by buying adorable accessories such as hats or special baby overalls.
But recently, a mom went above and beyond, managing to cause a stir on social media by posting photos of her newborn baby with a full manicure.
The photos have gone viral and were originally posted on a Facebook group along with the following caption:
“I can also do this kind of manicure for your children. Contact me privately for more information. Advantageous rates”.
The photos show a manicure on the little fingers of a baby girl just a few weeks old, who “sports” long, pointy nails in the shape of a “stiletto”.
This type of nail shape can be embarrassing for some adult women, let alone for a baby. The photos therefore aroused the interest – and indignation – of the web.
Some, looking closely at the photos, have claimed that it could be a Photoshop montage, a hypothesis that cannot be ruled out. Authentic or not, these photos have greatly worried Internet users, especially those on Twitter.
Many have felt compelled to point out how dangerous these nails are. The little girl could touch her eye or other parts of her body and hurt herself, which worried many who read the post and learned of the story.
Others, on the other hand, took things more lightly, saying babies’ nails are already naturally sharp and accidents are not common.
What do you think – has this mom gone too far?
