New Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez’s girlfriend Lorena Manas was previously married to former Barcelona star Aleix Vidal, according to reports.
The Reds sealed an £85 million deal with Benfica to lure the prolific Nunez, 22, to Merseyside this summer. He joins the English club with a remarkable goalscoring record.
The centre-forward hit 34 goals in 41 appearances for Benfica last season and has a record of 47 goals in 84 appearances for the Primeira Liga side.
Off the pitch, Nunez is currently dating Spaniard Lorena Manas, with the couple sharing a son (named after the player’s father).
The baby boy was born in Almeria where the couple met during Nunez’s time at the La Liga side.
AS reports that Manas was married to former Barcelona winger Aleix Vidal.
Manas married the former Barcelona winger mid-season in 2016. El Periódico speculated the date of the marriage was set as a result of Vidal being linked with a move to Qatar. The couple gave birth to a daughter named Chloe before the marriage ultimately ran its course over time.
Later, Manas met Nunez in 2020 at Almeria. Nunez and Manas will now reside in Liverpool, where they can expect unpredictable weather conditions rather than the sunny beaches of Almeria.
