Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe singled out his UEFA Champions League group stage goal against Juventus in November as one of the favorites of his career.
Mbappe made history during the late stages of PSG’s Ligue 1 home fixture against Nantes on matchday 26. The French forward’s lone goal of the contest broke a tie with Edinson Cavani for the most goals scored in PSG history with 201.
The 189th goal of Mbappe’s career came in PSG’s 2-1 away win over Juventus in Champions League group stage play earlier this season. He fooled multiple Juventus defenders en route to scoring the opener for PSG in the contest.
During a press conference following PSG’s Ligue 1 win over Nantes, Mbappe took some time to reflect on his stunning Champions League goal against the Serie A powerhouse.
“They asked me to select the four best of my 201 goals with PSG and I must say that the one against Juventus is certainly one of them,” Mbappe said. “It was nice, right? Apologies to any Italians, but it was nice.
“That one is definitely one of the best four, even if it is a pretty extensive gallery to choose from.”
Mbappe has scored seven Champions League goals in seven such appearances this season.
