Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel have an ongoing celebrity feud that everyone who follows the Fast franchise knows about. Ever since Johnson was done with the shooting of Fate of the Furious, he has clarified that he had issues with certain people, including Diesel, at the sets. But it all started when Diesel threw shade after completing the shooting for the 2016 movie.
After that, there were many speculations about the two on set. But Johnson tried to put it straight out there after revealing his private conversation with Diesel. But this only furthered the heated rivalry with media houses trying to figure out what went wrong. And now a Hollywood star who shared the screen with both The Rock and Diesel has weighed in on the much-protracted feud.
In an exclusive interview with People magazine in 2016, Jason Statham was asked about the feud between Johnson and Diesel. He clearly stated, “I stay out of any bickering or any troubles that people have. I have nothing to do with it and I don’t want any part of it. Look, Dwayne’s his own man, and what he says he’s entitled to say in his own way. And what he wants to say — you’ve got to ask him.”
Statham has previously worked with both of them as Shaw in the Fast franchise. He even featured as the co-lead with Johnson in the spin-off movie,Hobbs and Shaw. That was the last movie that Johnson did, which was part of the Fast franchise. In a CinemaBlend interview, Statham also mentioned that working with Johnson was a great experience. He even called The Rock a godsend while working an action scene.
As of now, Vin Diesel is busy with the marketing for his newest movie, Fast X. But interviewers might squeeze in the question of Johnson joining the cast again in the future. Unlike him, Johnson has taken a hiatus from movies right now and is focusing on the revival of XFL.
