Star power brings great responsibility to celebrities towards their fans. It is safe to say, Dwayne Johnson has embraced this responsibility very well over the years. His positive and respectful attitude has made ‘The Brahma Bull’ the most loved celebrity in the world. DJ never neglects to face the camera to address his fans and once he gave the reason for the same.
In 2018, The Rock appeared for an interview with actor Jamie Foxx on OFF SCRIPT, which is a Grey Goose Production. Foxx asked him why he still faces the camera to address fans while other stars ignore the same.
The Rock said, “It’s the most important relationship that I have, is with the people. Because I reached a point in my career where I was tired of trying to be something I wasn’t. So I was told at that time, ‘Listen you can’t talk about wrestling, you can’t go by (name) The Rock, you can’t be as big. Yeah, there are a lot of things like that.”
The WWE legend added, “So finally I reached a point where I said, all right two things had to happen. I’m going to surround myself with a different group of people, and different management. Then I’m gonna make sure that I just gotta be me. If you wanna call me Rock just call me Rock”
Johnson has shared several times about the stereotypes he faced in Hollywood in his initial days. However, he was always grateful to the fans who were with him since he was in WWE.
Foxx stated that he was once confused about what to call him, Dwayne Johnson, or The Rock. The Great One said, “It’s always The Rock.”
Dwayne Johnson once showed why he is ‘The People’s Champion’DJ loves his fans and also loves to surprise them whenever he gets an opportunity. In 2021, he did the same to surprise a few fans who were traveling on a tourist bus in Beverly Hills.
He quickly pulled over near the bus, rolled down his windows, and asked the fans if they saw The Rock. The fans went berserk and started taking pictures of him.
The Great One shared the incident on his Instagram. Moreover, he said, “One of the cool parts of fame & my job ~ makin’ a few folks happy.”
He just loves to meet his fans and surprise them. Last year he surprised two fans at Madame Tussauds Museum who came to see his newest wax statue there.
