Manchester United have listed three of their first-team players as available for sale ahead of a huge summer clearout at Old Trafford, according to reports.
The Red Devils could only afford loan signings in January as Wout Weghorst and Marcel Sabitzer joined the club on temporary deals.
According to the Manchester Evening News, United have said that Anthony Martial, Harry Maguire and Alex Telles will be allowed to leave in the next window.
United have been in pursuit of a long-term striker option and it’s understood that this has led to the decision on Martial’s future at Old Trafford.
French forward Anthony Martial is one of the players that the club have reportedly listed for sale
Defensive duo Harry Maguire and Alex Telles will also be allowed to leave United this summer
The French winger has endured an inconsistent spell in Manchester after joining the club for an initial £36million in 2015 and has made just nine appearances in the Premier League this season.
The former Monaco forward has suffered from a number of injuries at United and continued that trend after withdrawing himself from their squad to face Crystal Palace last week.
Martial had found the back of the net just a few days prior, during United’s 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup semi-final at Old Trafford.
Defensive duo Maguire and Telles will be allowed to leave the club after falling out-of-favour with ten Hag this season, according to the MEN.
Club captain Maguire has made just nine Premier League appearances this term and has fallen behind Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane in the pecking order.
It wasn’t long ago that ten Hag opted to play traditional full-back Luke Shaw in Maguire’s central position, despite the latter being available for selection.
Inter Milan made an enquiry about the England centre-back, 29, in the January window but the player wants to wait until the summer to decide on his immediate future.
Brazilian full-back Telles only joined the club in 2020 but seems like he could be already on his way out of Old Trafford on a permanent basis.
The ex-Porto defender – who signed in a deal worth £15.4 million – has made 50 appearances for United in the last two seasons before being sent to Sevilla on loan.
