After being a proud mother to six boys, a woman from east Tennessee was sʜᴏᴄᴋᴇᴅ to discover that she had given birth to a baby girl. A video capturing her awestricken reaction has since gone viral.
Ariel Tyson, a mother of seven, had planned to give birth to her youngest child in water at home.The 35-year-old mom was sure that, due to the experience of her previous 6 pregnancies, she knew the birthing process step by step and was not at all stressed.
When her waters ʙʀᴏᴋᴇ, around 2:30 a.m., she called the midwife and prepared for a long night of contractions. She even decided not to wake up her husband, Michael, who was sleeping in the next room, thinking it was too early. “I thought, ‘What’s the point of waking him up?’ The birthing process had just started, and I preferred to be alone in the first part of the birth,” she said.
Fortunately, Michael woke up on his own from his wife’s screams and rushed to her side. He tried to set up the birthing pool, but in the end their daughter, Mila, was in too much of a hurry and there wasn’t enough time. In fact, she was in such a hurry that at 3:10 in the morning, her mom went to the bathroom because her tummy hurt so much and came out with a baby girl!
“Sʜᴏᴄᴋᴇᴅ. I mostly just felt sʜᴏᴄᴋ,” Ariel said. “Michael thought it was a girl, but he was also still sʜᴏᴄᴋᴇᴅ as well.”
All this time, her husband was taking videos, capturing the express birth as well as Ariel’s stunned expression. They then posted it on TikTok, where it garnered over 25.7 million views and countless love comments.
The little girl was born weighing about 4 kg and is very healthy! A few hours after giving birth, she also met her big brothers, Cale, who is 11, Gabriel, 10, Judah, 8, Levi, 7, Zion, 5, and Ari, 2.
